MEDICATIONS

The wrong medications at the wrong time can be very detrimental to your pet's health. Always follow the directions on your pet's medications precisely. Do not save them for future use. Never give your pet human painkillers or other human medications; they can be deadly. Use only medicine that has been prescribed by a veterinarian, and KEEP ALL MEDICATIONS OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS.

In response to the recent use of PetMeds and other online pharmacies: Please be aware that most drug companies including MERIAL, NOVARTIS and PFZIER, will NOT honor their product guarantees, if the product is purchased from any other source other than a licensed veterinarian. Although we can not possibly compete with the "online pharmacies", we can assure our clients that they are purchasing only licensed products that have been stored properly and do carry the full support of the manufacturer.

FIRST VISIT

Sleeping Cat

When bringing your pet in for a checkup, remember that he or she may be a little uneasy about new people and animals. This is one of the reasons we ask that you restrain your pet before coming into the hospital. We suggest dogs be placed on a leash and cats in a pet carrier before entering the waiting room. Your pet and others in the waiting area will appreciate the extra care.

If you think your pet has a contagious disease, you should call us first with the details; we may request that your pet wait outside until called.

To aid the initial examination of your pet, please bring in a stool sample for intestinal parasite analysis (worms) and any pertinent history such as previous surgery, vaccinations, etc.

HOURS & APPOINTMENTS

Trylon Vet Care is open 6 days a week. To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment; emergencies will always be accommodated.

Like humans, pets do not synchronize their illnesses with our appointment book, and surgical procedures sometimes take longer than planned, so an occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time, and a phone call is appreciated if an appointment needs to be rescheduled. We will give all our clients the same attention when it is your turn.
